Smoothies, Juices, and More!

Barley juice powder can be added to any juice or smoothie for a quick energy pick me up. Here are some favorites!

Green Berry Smoothie

1 ripe banana
2 handfuls of fresh or frozen berries (strawberries, blackberries, raspberries)
1 cup of orange or apple juice
1-3 teaspoons of barley juice powder

In a blender, combine all ingredients until frothy. Pour in a tall glass and garnish with a strawberry.

Carrot-Apple-Barley Juice

6-8 Organic Carrots
1 Organic Apple
1-3 teaspoons of organic barley juice powder

Wash and cut the apples and carrots. With your juicer, (we suggest the Power Juicer) juice the apples, followed by the carrots.

Then, place the juice in a shaker with the barley juice powder (Dr Morter’s Alka Green powder is a good choice) and shake vigorously. Pour in a tall glass and enjoy!

Kiwi Watermelon Slushy

4 Kiwis, halved and peeled
1.5 cups of cut watermelon
1-3 tsps of barley juice powder
1 cup of ice
1 tablespoon of agave (optional, for taste)

In a blender, combine all ingredients until the ice is thoroughly crushed. Add a teaspoon of agave to the blender for added sweetness. Enjoy!
