Green Foods Berry Barley Essence Review Details
Dr. Hagiwara’s Berry Flavored Barley powder is a barley juice "cocktail" powder. It contains the popular Green Magma barley juice powder, along with Raspberry and Strawberry flavor. It’s sweetened with the all-natural, low calorie sweetener, Stevia.
So does this flavored barley give you the most bang for the buck? No.
We call it a ‘cocktail’ powder for a reason. In the grocery store, there’s 100% Cranberry Juice and then there’s the Cranberry Juice Cocktail. The word cocktail means it has things like sugar added to it.
Dr. Hagiwara’s Berry Flavored Barley Essence has sugar added (in the form of maltodextrin). It makes the formula sweeter and sells more product, but is it really the best for you?
In addition, Dr. Hagiwara’s formula contains brown rice. Why is a mystery. But the fact is, you are paying $32.99 retail for this formula that could contain up for 30% rice and maltodextrin. That’s a lot of money to spend on junk.
To get more bang for your buck, choose a better 100% pure barley juice powder.
But if you enjoy this product, it doesn’t contain the trans-fat magnesium stearate, so at least it has that going for it.
