Dr. Hagiwara’s Green Magma is a barley juice "cocktail" powder and is one of the most popular green barley powders on the market. But, is it the best?
We call it a ‘cocktail’ powder for a reason. In the grocery store, there’s cranberry juice and cranberry cocktail. The juice is 100% juice; the cocktail has sugar added.
Dr. Hagiwara’s Green Magma powder has sugar added (in the form of maltodextrin). It makes the formula sweeter and sells more product, but is it really good for you?
In addition, Dr. Hagiwara’s formula contains brown rice. Why is a mystery. You are paying about $30 for this formula; yet this product could contain up for 30% rice and maltodextrin.
In conclusion, this is far from the best product on the market. To get more bang for your buck, choose a better 100% pure barley powder.
But if you enjoy this product, it doesn’t contain the trans-fatty acid magnesium stearate, so it’s healthy to take.
